Strawberry Picking at Underwood Family Farms

On May 10th, we enjoyed a nice morning picking strawberries with Bode's preschool group at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark. It is always fun to pick your own fruit and know where your food comes from. Until we get our own garden started, we will enjoy the benefit of nearby farms for these types of experiences.

The morning started with a tractor ride to the strawberry fields. We were also blessed with lovely weather, making our time quite enjoyable.

Once we arrived at the fields, the children were off. Ian and Cole went on their merry way while Bode and I picked together. We eventually caught up with the big boys. We got quite a harvest of juicy, red, sweet strawberries. Yum!

Of course, a trip to Underwood must also include all the fun things they have to do around there - farm gear to climb on and slide down, hay stacks, trains, and lots of animals. Fun!
